Sittin', Waitin', Wishin'

I feel like the Jack Johnson song "Sittin', Waitin', Wishin'" right now. Not quite literally (for those who know all the lyrics :)) but all I really have to do now is sit and wait and wish for this little baby inside me to decide to come out to play.

Lots of fun things have happened since I last posted.

For one, I went home to Blackfoot for Memorial Day and had an absolute blast with all my brothers and sisters! We kept up the traditional annual tour of cemeteries (in the rain again this year) and enjoyed the typical picnic, but had some fun additions to the festivities as well.

My sisters threw me a beautiful baby shower! They are so sweet! They invited so many of my favorite ladies and friends from home and had wonderful food and games. I really loved it! They really know how to throw a party. I know there were pictures taken, I will get some from them to post.

Another fun addition to the traditional Memorial day plan was that many of my Dad's brothers and sisters were in town as well, so we had a great family dinner with 8 of the 10 major families represented! It was great to see so many of my cousins, and meet some new ones. Many of them helped me tie a quilt for Macy's crib that my sisters had helped me put together. It was so fun to sit around the quilt and visit! Thank you so much for all your help. It never would have gotten done if I had to do it alone!

I never cease to be amazed at the influence my Grandparents have on the world through their posterity. Since they chose to teach their children to walk in Truth and Light there are almost a hundred of their descendants who are following and making the world a better place (except they are all republicans).

Since I got home, Ger and I have been on a great trip through the Columbia River Gorge to Skamania Lodge for his District Meetings, and a wonderful friend in my ward surprised me with a baby shower here! She made the most amazing "cake" out of diapers and we had a wonderful time!

She invited my friends from the ward and lots of ladies came that I hadn't even met yet! I feel so blessed to be a member of a church where we are all friends, even before we know each other, and people are so sweet, loving, and supportive to me. The people in the church as a whole and the Lake Oswego Ward in particular amaze me!

I have been sewing a little, and made some burp clothes to match the quilt. Ruth makes these adorable burps and I tried my best. Not quite perfect but I like them!

And now I just sit around, lounge by the pool, tidy the house, and pray for Macy to come! Wow, my life sounds hard! :)
