Momma's little Cutie!

We love this little outfit from Auntie Lacy ! It says "Mommy's Little Cutie"-- and Macy sure fits the label!Big smiles!

A little silly.
"Oh Dah-ling, how bourgeois"
Uh-oh
A ray of sunshine! She brightens our lives!

Tummy Time!

Macy loves Tummy Time! And we are counting our blessings! Papa is the coach, and Macy works very hard, grunting and occasionally yelping as she pushes her head up, her legs into the ground, and she has already pushed herself over almost onto her back!

(He's not asleep, he likes to get down on her level to help her keep her focus :) )

Macy is 1 week old!

We took these pictures of Macy on her one week birthday! I think they are a few great examples of how Macy has learned to cope with life.

Usually she is very happy! She smiles, and laughs, and plays with Mama and Papa!

However, she gets tuckered out pretty easily, and likes to sleep, alot!

But usually, Macy is just perplexed by this crazy world.

Hold on baby, if you think the first week was crazy there's
lots more where that came from!

A Bonnet

Grandma Cherie gave Macy a bonnet, so of course we had to try it on while she was here... and take lots of pictures!

This was Macy's first Sunday and since we weren't ready to go to church, we sang "Pioneer Children Sang as they Walked" while she was wearing her bonnet.

Macy's first Bath

Papa gave Macy her first sponge bath the night we got home from the hospital. It was very fun to watch! We have been blessed with a very modest little girl-- she hates being undressed even a little for even a moment! So giving her a bath was a challenge-- however, she is very fond of scalp massage, so at least she enjoyed parts of it. In the end both papa and baby were very happy that Macy was clean!

Who do you think she looks like?

Granted, we aren't quite comparing apples to apples-- Gerald is a few months old in this picture-- but still it is pretty much a no brainer... right?

Our first days with Macy

Now that Macy is officially 1 week old, it is about time to share her with the world! I hope that looking through these pictures of our first days with Macy helps to brighten your day, because she has brought so much sunshine into our world. She is so beautiful, so fun, so well behaved, and such a good sleeper and eater! At our one week check up with Dr Craft yesterday Macy weighed in at 7 lbs 7.8 oz, basically back to her birth weight! She is way ahead of the curve and a perfectly healthy baby, with just a small click in her hip that we are watching and looking into. As you will see, she is our pride and joy.

These are among the first pictures taken of Macy, fresh from the oven-- so to speak. :)
Macy's first visitor, and namesake, Grandma Cherie Clawson. Grandma came to stay for the weekend before Macy was born and has been with us for her first week-- I'm not sure what I will do without my mom! She has been so much help and so much fun! Thank you for taking care of us! New mommies especially need their mommy!
First family portrait-- isn't she photogenic?

Looking over papa's shoulder-- she is still so new the nurse hadn't given her a bath (or a shirt).
Gerald's Aunt Sheron and Uncle Jess came to see us in the hospital.
Macy and Dr. Girolami, our doctor through our pregnancy and delivery!
Headed for home, after we got the seat figured out. We went into the hospital on Tuesday at 7am and came home Thursday and 12pm. We were so happy to be going home!

So you can see our first few days with Macy in the Hospital were wonderful, and things have only gotten better since!
